- Like it or not, that is exactly what happened again and again. Oh, it wasn't
- Ford, but someone "not important." Of course, before they were "not important"
- they WERE big news. How many automotive companies did we lose between 1940
- and 1960? And how many if you throw in the rest of the world, too? I
- personally grieve the loss of MG, but at large the world didn't care when they
- closed shop. If they had during thier heyday, now THAT would be news.

- good analog to your example, that of an industry leader dropping off the face
- of the planet, but can you tell me in what year they ceased production?
